Artist Spotlight: Ricky Esterby

Hi, I’m Ricky!

I’ve been tattooing since 2018, when I was rescued from the nightmare hellscape that is retail sales. Needless to say, I dove into a tattoo apprenticeship, quit my day job as soon as I could, and never looked back! I graduated my apprenticeship in mid 2020, and I am so thankful for everything I have learned & continue to learn along the way. Art has always been a super important part of my life, and tattooing is the only career path I’ve ever wanted to pursue.

This is something I’ve wanted to do since I was 15, and I am so stoked that I get to work with such incredible artists, friends, and clients every day! I am a Leo sun, Capricorn moon, and Virgo rising— sorry in advance.

My favorite tattoo subject matter is anime/video game/nerdy/pop culture-related stuff, bugs, floral, and anything with fine, dainty linework. That being said, I’m generally pretty open to lots of different styles & subject matter. Let’s get weird! Or not weird! That’s cool too!
